Greatest and most cunning of the Lords of Hell, Asmodeus was born when the twin fires of greed and treachery first sparked to life within a mortal's heart. His hideous body is perpetually wreathed in flame.
“For myself, I have other occupations: I make absurd matches; I marry greybeards with minors, masters with servants, girls with small fortunes with tender lovers who have none. It is I who introduced into this world luxury, debauchery, games of chance, and chemistry. I am the author of the first cookery book, the inventor of festivals, of dancing, music, plays, and of the newest fashions; in a word, I am ASMODEUS, surnamed The Devil on Two Sticks.” |

Tips & Tricks
- The lava area outside of Asmodeus' castle sometimes has many sealed off smoke demons wandering about, as well as other less-dangerous foes. Although you can't easily reach them, they will smite you any time they notice you through the many iron grates in the castle. Ignoring them can leave you dangerously low on HP by the time you reach Asmodeus, so use a wand of digging to destroy the grates and kill them on sight. If you have Airstrike, you don't even have to destroy the grates.
- If you don't draw him into melee range, Asmodeus will quickly fill up the room with fire-related summons. He and his summons can toss a lot of fire and damnation your way; just standing next to Asmodeus places you in a column of flame. Needless to say, rF++ or rF+++ is a prerequisite here.
- Asmodeus has a lot of HP and AC, so killing him will be tough. One strategy is to gain his attention and lure him into one of the smaller vaults nearby. Then, buff yourself, summon a few allies, and once he's in your LOS try to kill him as quickly as possible.
