A giant with one eye in the centre of its forehead. Despite their lack of binocular vision, cyclopes throw boulders with fearsome accuracy. |
Useful Info
Cyclopes are slow, hard-hitting giants that are a menace at range. They usually generate with three or four large rocks on hand, which they will happily hurl at you with little concern for anything standing in the way. Once engaged in melee, however, they lack weapons and are thus only slightly more dangerous than an ogre. Cyclopes can appear alone or with a herd of sheep or yaks around them, and can be found in the middle-Dungeon and the Shoals.
Tips & Tricks
Hide around corners and attack them at close range or cast Repel/Deflect Missiles if you're a mage. If there are other monsters around, you can use them as a shield, and hopefully the cyclops will kill them for you.
Trivia
The presence of sheep and yaks is a reference to Homer's The Odyssey, where cyclopes are presented as shepherds.
