Speaks
Behold! A throne-bearer of the Gods, whose head is beset by four faces: one of a man, one of an ox, one of a lion, one of an eagle. It is one of the three angelic beings who stand before the Good Gods, singing eternal hymns of praise to their Glory and Goodness. Indeed, these hymns have the power to rouse greatness in hearts pure and true.

“The glory of Yahweh mounted up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of Yahweh’s glory.
The sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of God Almighty when he speaks.”
-WEB Bible, Ezekiel 10:4-

Useful Info

Cherubim are flying holy beings with a 6-tile halo aura. Although less dangerous than angels or daevas, they tend to wield decent blessed flaming long blades and fire longbows at you (often with branded ammunition). They are extremely rare, only appearing in holy-themed Pandemonium and Ziggurat floors, as well as the occasional Dungeon good god vault.

Tips & Tricks

  • Worshipping a good god (Zin, the Shining One, or Elyvilon) may cause it to calm down and become neutral towards you.
  • The "cherub" hit type is unique to cherubim and cosmetic only. It is simply randomized to reflect the possible attacks from each of the four heads: hit, bite, peck, or gore.
  • Like orc knights, cherubim have a Hymn ability that allows them to empower any lower HD holy monsters around them, causing these allies to deal +30% damage. However, this ability is currently useless, as there are currently no lower HD holy monsters in the game.
