Version 0.28: This article may not be up to date for the latest stable release of Crawl.
A skilled user can throw it in such a way that it will return to its owner. |
Weapons with the returning property will return to the user's inventory when thrown unless they mulch.
Boomerangs innately possess the returning property, and may have an additional brand.
History
- Prior to 0.27, the Dungeon Sprint exclusive unique, Chuck, had a large rock of returning.
- Prior to 0.24, returning was a brand that could be found on javelins and tomahawks, and Throwing skill determined the chance the weapon would return to the thrower. Tomahawks were replaced by boomerangs, which always return.
- Prior to 0.15, returning large rocks, stones, arrows, bolts, and sling bullets could be found in a rare ammunition shop.
- Prior to 0.14, this brand could also appear on the throwable melee weapons: daggers, clubs, hand axes, and spears.
