Useful Info
Norris the Philosopher is a unique spellcaster. He arrives with a band of skysharks, confusing melee attacks, and a number of perplexing spells.
In addition to his spells, Norris constantly has an aura of shallow water around him, similar to water nymphs.

- Like tarantellas, his melee confusion can only be resisted by clarity. Mummies in particular should watch out.
- Primal Wave knocks you back, so watch out when using stairs.
History
- In 0.31, Norris was re-introduced.
- Prior to this version, Norris was known as Norris the Nihilist, and did not have skysharks or a water aura. His spells were Brain Feed, Smiting, Invisibility, Confuse, and Paralyse.
- In 0.19, Norris bit the dust.
- In ancient versions of Crawl, Norris' tile showed him carrying a surfboard. This is reintroduced as of 0.31.
