An oddity of nature, ball lightning bounces around behaving almost, but not quite, entirely unlike regular lightning. |
Useful Info
Ball lightning is an extremely dangerous weather phenomenon normally unheard of in subterranean Dungeons. They behave like giant spores, rapidly charging the nearest hostile target and exploding to deal 3d20 electricity damage to everything within a few tiles. Unlike giant spores, they also occasionally shoot blasts of lightning at random targets as they charge in. Ball lightning only naturally occurs in a few vaults, but can be created through use of the Conjure Ball Lightning spell (which only you, Lom Lobon, and some player ghosts can cast).
Tips & Tricks
- Electricity resistance renders them a whole lot less terrifying.
- Although they're nearly impossible to outrun, you can safely detonate ball lightning from a distance by inflicting at least 1 point of damage. They're immune to all forms of elemental damage, but any character can throw a stone.
- Ball lightnings are conjured into existence, not summoned, so Abjuration and Recall have no effect on them.
