Helmets are a kind of head armour that have 1 base AC, and which may be enchanted up to +2. They may only be worn by small- or medium-size adventurers without beaks, horns, or antennae.
Helmets may be decorated as winged, horned, crested, plumed, spiked, or visored. These descriptions change the tile used to represent the helmet but have no other in-game effect.
Possible egos include:
- Intelligence (+3)
- See invisible
- Fire resistance (rarely found in the Volcano)
History
Prior to 0.14, helmets came in the following descriptive varieties: winged, horned, crested, plumed, spiked, or visored. These descriptions changed the tile used to represent the helmet but had no other in-game effect.
