Summon Undead is a monsters-only spell which summons undead monsters to attack the player. Although most of the summoned undead are weak and easily defeated, high-HD casters can summon multiple undead with each casting, and the player may be swarmed. Also, be careful around any summoned ghouls, as they can be harmful to even endgame characters.
Possible monsters:
- Necrophage: Rotting attack
- Ghoul: Hits very hard, high HP, rotting attacks
- Hungry ghost: Reduces satiation
- Flayed ghost
- Zombie
- Skeleton: Can be used as a target for Lee's Rapid Deconstruction
- Simulacrum: May deal heavy ice damage, can be used as a target for Lee's Rapid Deconstruction
- Flying skull: Fast, can be used as a target for Lee's Rapid Deconstruction
- Flaming corpse: Sticky flame melee attack, fast
- Mummy: Killing summoned mummies doesn't generate death curses
- Vampire: Has annoying Vampire Summon spell
- Wight
- Wraith: Draining attack
- Shadow wraith: Invisible, draining attack
- Freezing wraith: Cold attack
- Phantasmal warrior
- Shadow: Can drain strength
The following monsters cast Summon Undead:
History
Many of these monsters will be changed dramatically in 0.13. Ghouls will be replaced with jiangshi, wraiths will drain speed instead of xp, flayed ghosts will have a very powerful smite-targeted attack, shadows will stab players without SInv, and phantasmal warriors will drain MR, ignore shields and half-AC, and blink close to the player.
