Spriggan defenders are well-trained spriggan warriors, wielding heavier weapons than most spriggans would bother with. Although still not terribly durable, they can take a punch and have higher evasion than most spriggans. They are never found in the Lair:8 spriggan forest endings, but are a frequent sight in the spriggan forest vaults that can appear in the later parts of the main Dungeon, particularly those that house the Enchantress.
Variant Spriggan Defender
You may encounter a spriggan enchanter while exploring one particular vault. These casters are about on par with their defender brethren, but always come capable of obnoxious Hexes. Defeating them will earn you a magic quickblade and several potions of invisibility.
Spells: Confuse, Ensorcelled Hibernation, Invisibility, Haste
