Tips & Tricks
- They blink constantly, making them difficult to engage in melee, and have high enough EV to make misses common. Take advantage of the turns they spend blinked away to attack them at range. Poison and unavoidable conjurations like Fireball or LRD work well against them. Sticky Flame is great since it has perfect accuracy and will keep dealing damage even if they blink away. If you don't have anything better, Magic Dart works well despite its low damage, since it will never miss.
- The following cold attacks have a 50%[1] chance to slow them: weapons of freezing, Ozocubu's Refrigeration and Freeze.
- Exposure to cold from Frozen Ramparts or freezing clouds can also slow them.
- Confusing them, either via the Confusion spell or Mephitic Cloud, keeps them from blinking.
- If you alert an entire pack and don't feel up to taking them on, retreat may be advisable. Even with their speed advantage, their blinking makes it easy to climb stairs without luring up more than one at a time.
History
- Before 0.19, they were immune to distortion effects. In fact, 20% of the time, distortion actually healed them.
