The Axes skill governs your character's mastery of all axes. These weapons deal moderate-to-high damage, depending on whether you wish to wield one- or two-handed axes. It crosstrains with the Maces & Flails skill and the Polearms skill.
History
In 0.12, axes will undergo a major change; all attacks with axes will attack the target enemy at full power, as well as all enemies adjacent to you at half power (except for the tile directly opposite the enemy you actually targeted). To compensate for this massive improvement, the larger axes will have their stats reduced.
