Chaotic
Chaotic is an attribute of monsters, gods, and items. Chaos is abhorred by Zin, and creatures of chaos take more damage from the silver brand.

Useful Info
Creatures
Chaotic monsters are vulnerable to the silver brand, taking up to 175% extra damage. Players can never gain the actual "chaotic" flag, although being in a form will make you take the same 175% damage from silver.
Zin despises chaos, and worshippers who dare employ chaotic items or magic will find themselves undergoing penance. Worshippers who leave to Xom or Jiyva will also incur wrath (the other chaotic gods are evil and upset all three good gods, including Zin). On the other hand, Zin will reward followers who slay chaotic monsters with additional piety.
Items
Xom may occasionally send you to special bazaars, where you can find chaotic unrand artefacts - these unrands will have the chaos brand in addition to their regular brand and any other properties.

- Shapeshifters, all ugly things, abominations large and small, killer klowns, The Royal Jelly, Tiamat.

- A creature having an intrinsic chaotic spell/ability, such as Mnoleg (as opposed to simply casting chaos spells; spells with the wizard spell slot flag, like Kirke's Porkalator, don't count).
