A kite shield is a piece of armour which can be worn by any species but felids and spriggans to provide some degree of blocking defense (SH). They are an attainable choice for both melee and caster characters, but without a decent Shields skill, they carry significantly more penalties to attack speed, evasion and spellcasting than the lighter buckler.
They can be found with the following egos:
Egos such as cold and fire resistance are fairly rare, usually only found in mini branches such as the Volcano or through a scroll of acquirement.
