A cloth or leather hat. |
Hats are a form of head armour. Unlike helmets, they provide no base AC, but can be used by characters with beaks or all but the largest horns and antennae. They can be maximally enchanted to +2.
Hats can have the following egos:
- Cold resistance
- Fire resistance
- Intelligence (+3)
- Magic resistance (+30)
- See invisible
- Spirit shield
Hats with cold or fire resistance are fairly uncommon, appearing only in mini branches such as the Volcano.
The unique elephant slug Gastronok always carries a hat which has a good chance of being enchanted or even an artefact.
