Tips & Tricks
These mages are the biggest reason to avoid exploring the Elven Halls until you've acquired decent magic resistance. Even if they don't banish you, they always come with a variety of unpleasant Hexes. When facing them in packs with other deep elves, they should be a higher priority than the deep elf fighters, soldiers, and knights, but the other spell casters may be bigger threats.
+
Although far from harmless, prioritize taking out the other deep elves before attacking these.

A deep elf learned in the ways of murderous magic. It is capable of casting a wide array of harmful spells.

Useful Info

Deep elf mages are flimsy but unpredictable deep elf casters, capable of hitting you with a wide variety of spells, though at reassuringly low spell power. While never harmless, they pale in comparison to some of the deadlier deep elf varieties. They can be found roaming the later floors of the Dungeon on their own, and often appear in packs with other deep elves in the Elven Halls, the Vaults and some baileys.
