This weapon falls into the 'Maces & Flails' category. It is a two handed weapon, and it is best used by the strong.
Dire flails have a fairly low base delay considering their damage output, although they are two-handed. If you're a mace user and haven't yet found a shield, consider using one even if you are planning to ultimately go for a one-handed weapon; it has better damage output than all one-handed maces except eveningstars and demon whips.
