Although extremely rare, bardiches occasionally generate in the possession of the demonspawn opponents in Pandemonium. Like all polearms, bardiches are capable of reaching attacks. Bardiches are chopping weapons and are liable to chop off hydra heads.
Unfortunately, they require two hands to wield and a whopping 24 Polearms skill to attack at min delay. Players might get better results by wielding a glaive or demon trident and shield instead. When there is experience to spare -- especially for merfolk -- then you can upgrade.
