The eudemon blade, like the sacred scourge and trishula, is a demonic weapon that has been blessed by the Shining One, rendering it slightly more powerful than the demon blade it once was and imbuing it with the holy wrath brand. It is an effective weapon in the end game, where most major threats are vulnerable to its holy damage. A blessed bastard sword will do more damage, but is slightly slower.
