A long pole with an enormous, cleaving blade on one end. |
This weapon falls into the 'Polearms' category. It is a two handed weapon.
The bardiche is the largest, slowest, and most powerful polearm available. Unfortunately, they are rare weapons, require two hands to wield, and a whopping 24 Polearms skill to reach minimum delay.
As a chopping weapon, it'll cut off hydra heads. It is also too large for kobolds and spriggans to use at all.
Strategy
Other than Trog and Okawaru gifts, bardiches can occasionally be found in the Hall of Blades, or in the Pandemonium (from demonspawn opponents).
