What mahouts steer their elephants with. It basically resembles a fireplace poker with a short, stout handle, and a bluntish spike and hook for communicating one's desires through the pachyderm's thick skin. Curiously enough, Ogres are famous for driving larger elephants. |
This weapon falls into the 'Maces & Flails' category. It is a one handed weapon, and it is better for the strong.
Ankuses were bludgeoning weapons with stats slightly superior to maces. Much like quick blades, if you found an ankus lying on the ground, there was a good chance that it had positive enchantments.
History
Ankuses were removed from Crawl in 0.11.
