Traps & Doors was the skill that let you detect and disarm traps (hold CTRL while moving in the direction of the trap; not all traps can be disarmed) as well as find hidden doors. Higher skill lets you disarm traps with a better chance of success and detect traps before stepping on them. Most players would want to eventually train in this skill to avoid the deadly Zot traps of the deeper floors.
